Jennifer Lopez is  trending on Twitter, in a recent episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL), Ayo Edebiri, the 28-year-old host, addressed some past controversial comments she made about Jennifer Lopez’s career. Before their joint appearance on SNL, old remarks from a 2020 podcast episode resurfaced where Edebiri described Lopez’s entire career as “one long scam.”

On the “Scam Goddess” podcast, Edebiri expressed her belief that Lopez may not have sung on some of her tracks and referred to her career as a scam. However, during the SNL episode on February 3, Edebiri, in a game show sketch hosted by Kenan Thompson, acknowledged her past comments about Lopez.

“Okay. We get it. It’s wrong to leave mean comments, or post comments just for clout, or run your mouth on a podcast, and you don’t consider the impact because you’re 24 and stupid. But I think I speak for everyone when I say from now on, we’re going to be a lot more thoughtful about what we post online,” Edebiri stated during the sketch.

The acknowledgment came as a part of a larger discussion on the impact of social media comments. Despite the past remarks, both Edebiri and Lopez appeared together in a promotional teaser for the SNL episode. Lopez expressed excitement about the show, and Edebiri replied positively, saying, “I love your everything.”

While Lopez did not participate in any sketches during the episode, the acknowledgment by Edebiri adds an interesting twist to their joint appearance on the show.
